Description
C. 1890 advertising for Palmer's Extra Cologne depicting a frog and a goose as they visit the four corners of the globe.
The poem accompanying the advertisement is as follows:
" As a young lady goose was walking one day, she looked at a frog who stood by the way.
and he smiled at her gooseness an angelic smile, and proposed that they travel the world o'er awhile.
The young goosess blushingly gave her consent, then he gave her a bottle of beautiful scent called "Palmer's Cologne
and they winged it away on the following morn, at the breaking of day.
And now the whole earth from center to zone is filled with the fragrance of Palmer's Cologne "
