Description
The twenty cent airmail stamp first issued February 15, 1937 for the transpacific air mail route. The new expanded route now included destinations such as Hong Kong, Macao, Midway, Honolulu, Wake, Guam and San Francisco. The design depicts the Martin M-130 China Clipper which carried the mail, below the aircraft are four types of ocean going vessels used for transportation in the previous century.
