Artist's Description

From Japanese artist Utagawa Hiroshige's 19th century woodblock series ' The fifty three stations of the Tokaido Road '. The view depicting sailing ships on Lake Hamana arriving at Aria station in Kosai, Shizuoka Province of Japan. The Tokaido road connected Tokyo to Kyoto with fifty three stations having been built along the road for travelers to rest.
