From Japanese artist Utagawa Hiroshige's 19th century woodblock series ' The fifty three stations of the Tokaido Road '. The view depicting travelers ascending a snow covered hillside to the entrance of Kameyama Castle. The Tokaido road connected Tokyo to Kyoto with fifty three stations having been built along the road for travelers to rest.
