Daniel Boone 1734-1820 Born in Pennsylvania in 1734 Daniel Boone was a Frontiersman, pioneer, hunter, soldier of the French and Indian Wars and American Revolution. Known for his exploration and settlement of Kentucky as well as his numerous run ins and exploits with Native American Indians. The quintessential American Folk Hero, Boone died in Missouri, 1820. In this mid 19th century print Boone is seen late in life hunting with his bird dog.
