Depicted are rescue teams working on the capsized hull of the battleship USS Oklahoma (BB-37) trying to free sailors trapped in the ship. Motor launches from the USS Oklahoma and USS Argonne are seen in the foreground, with the battleship USS Maryland (BB-46) in the background.
